Some reactions don’t respond to logic. You know you’re safe, and your body reacts as though you’re not. Clinical Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious response behind that reaction, so you can build new patterns instead of only learning to cope.

Leslie Martin is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist with more than a decade of professional healing work. Anxiety isn’t the same for everyone, so her approach isn’t one-size-fits-all — every session is shaped around you and the pattern you’re working with.

What to Expect

  • A conversation first, so Leslie understands your specific pattern
  • A guided session that works with your subconscious mind while you stay fully aware and in control
  • Clinical Hypnotherapy on its own, or alongside BWRT®, subconscious reprogramming, regression techniques, and nervous-system support where they’re a fit
  • Available in-person in Nashville or by Zoom

Is This For You?

Clinical Hypnotherapy tends to be a good fit if you’re dealing with panic, phobias, driving anxiety, overthinking, or work stress that won’t let up — or if you simply want to try a subconscious approach to a pattern that logic alone hasn’t shifted. You don’t need any prior experience with hypnosis to begin.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is also part of Leslie’s Anxiety & Panic Support work, and it can be paired with BWRT® or her other modalities in a Customized Combination Session.

Common Questions

What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a guided session that works with the subconscious response behind a reaction you cannot talk yourself out of, such as panic, a phobia or constant overthinking. The goal is to build new patterns instead of only learning to cope.

Will I be in control during a session?

Yes. You stay fully aware and in control throughout. You are in a relaxed, focused state, similar to the calm moment before falling asleep, and you can respond or stop the process at any point.

Is it the same as stage hypnosis?

No. There is no swinging watch and no loss of control, and you are never “under” the way movies portray it. Nothing happens without your participation.

What does Clinical Hypnotherapy help with?

It tends to be a good fit for panic, phobias, driving anxiety, overthinking, and work stress that will not let up, or for anyone who wants a subconscious approach to a pattern that logic alone has not shifted.

Do I need experience with hypnosis?

No. You do not need any prior experience with hypnosis to begin. Leslie starts with a conversation so she understands your specific pattern, and she shapes the session around it.

How long is a session?

Most sessions run about an hour, whether in person in Nashville or by Zoom.

Can I do this alongside my therapist or doctor?

Yes. Clinical Hypnotherapy is not a replacement for medical or mental health treatment, and many clients use it alongside care from their doctor or therapist.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is not a replacement for medical or mental health treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or psychological condition. Many clients use this work alongside — not instead of — care from their doctor or therapist.
